Indianapolis to host College Football National Championship in 2022

The NCAA college football title game will be played in Indianapolis in 2022, according to WRTV reporter Katie Cox.

Lucas Oil Stadium, which already holds the Big Ten Conference Championship game, will be the first location outside of the South or West Coast to host a meaningful college football postseason game.

WRTV’s report said the event is expected to have an $150 million impact on the city. The game will be accompanied by a four-day event surrounding the game that’s expected to draw 100,000 people to the city.
