Lakota West standout Abby Prohaska commits to top-ranked Notre Dame

Lakota West announced Wednesday the oral commitment of junior girls basketball standout Abby Prohaska to top-ranked Notre Dame.

Prohaska, a 5-foot-10 junior guard, averages 11 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games this season. She played on the Firebirds’ state-championship team in 2015.

Prohaska also considered Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Stanford, Florida State, Indiana, UCLA and Vanderbilt. She won’t sign a binding letter of intent until November 2017.

This summer she played for Team USA, helping the U-17 team win a bronze medal in the world championships.
