Love wins another HL Freshman of the Week award


For the sixth time this season, Wright State center Loudon Love is the recipient of the Horizon League Freshman of the Week award.

Love turned in one of his best games of the season in Saturday’s 74-73 loss to Milwaukee , tallying 20 points and career-high 19 rebounds.

It was the 11th double-double of the season for the league’s leading rebounder (9.9).

Love just missed another double-double in Thursday’s 68-64 triumph of Green Bay when he scored nine points and grabbed 13 rebounds to go along with three assists and two blocks.

All six of Love’s HL Freshman of the Week awards have come in the last nine weeks.

WSU (19-8 overall, 11-3 HL) returns to action at 9 p.m. Friday against Northern Kentucky in a battle for first place.
