Reds add another veteran reliever to compete in spring training

The Cincinnati Reds continued shaping their spring training roster Tuesday by signing Louis Coleman.

A right-handed reliever, Coleman got a minor-league deal and an invitation to spring training with the big club.

Coleman, 30, has spent six years in the majors, including his first five with the Royals.

Kansas City drafted him in the fifth round in 2009 out of LSU.

He has a career ERA of 3.51 with two saves in 213 games.

Last season, Coleman pitched a career-high 61 games for the Dodgers. He struck out 45 and walked 24 in 48 innings.
