Senzel hit .329 with seven homers and 36 RBIs for the Dragons. He also hit 23 doubles and stole 15 bases.
Here is BA's brief evaluation of Senzel's season:
“The most polished college bat in his draft class, Senzel advanced quickly to Dayton and has an above-average hit tool and plus raw power that could show up in games as he adds loft to his line-drive-geared bat path.
“His power is presently solid-average. Senzel has shown in batting practice the ability to drive the ball to the opposite field and over the fence. He has above-average bat speed with leverage and above-average pitch recognition.”
Including 16 games in rookie ball, Senzel finished with an OPS of .912, a mark that trailed only T.J. Friedl and Scott Schebler in the organization.
Schebler spent the last two months in the majors after Jay Bruce was traded while Friedl was a bit of a sensation in 29 games in rookie ball after being signed as an undrafted college free agent.
