High School Results for 1/20: Stivers boys win in overtime

The Stivers boys basketball team ended the game with five unanswered points to edge Belmont 54-51 in overtime on Friday night.

Tony Boddie led the way with 23 points and Trevon Ellis added nine, including the tying basket and go-ahead free throw in OT. Miles Clark hit a pair of foul shots with two seconds to play that iced the game for Stivers (8-6).

Zach Tech topped Belmont (6-8) with 13 points.

Northmont 83, Piqua 42: Vinson Walker scored 15 points and Rodney Richardson 14 for Northmont. Gage Smith paced Piqua with 16 points.

Centerville 43, Lebanon 35: Centerville used a 10-point swing in the final quarter for the rally win. Parker Smith had 13 points for Lebanon.

Sidney 68, Fairborn 57: Andre Gordon tallied 21 points and Isaiah Bowser added 20 to lead Sidney. Branden Lilley poured in 28 points in a losing effort for Fairborn.

Trotwood 98, Troy 58: Trotwood put the game away early with a 21-point swing in the second quarter. Torrey Patton led the way with 21 points. Hayden Kotwica had 15 points for Troy.

Xenia 68, Greenville 65: Xenia rallied in the second half for the close win.

Tippecanoe 57, Stebbins 56: Zach Bonifas scored the last of his game-high 19 points with 4.7 seconds play, sinking two free throws to clinch the victory. Mickael Mayo led Stebbins with 13 points.

Beavercreek 56, Miamisburg 54: Peyton Young had 18 points, Cedric Baldwin 17 and Jon Alessandro 10 for Beavercreek in the close win. Kort Justice led Miamisburg with 14 points.

Vandalia 70, West Carrollton 40: Vandalia started the game on a 17-2 run and led by 27 at the half. Miles Joiner led the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Mason 56, Fairfield 45: Ben Phillips and James Armstrong each had 11 points but Fairfield couldn’t keep pace after opening the game on a 12-5 run.

Princeton 53, Middletown 40: Clifton Snow scored 19 points and Jomar Bailey added 10 but Princeton pulled away in the final quarter.

Edgewood 42, Harrison 37: Eddie Driskell tallied 17 points and Austin Scott 15 as Edgewood pulled ahead with an 8-2 run in the third quarter.

Tecumseh 56, Kenton Ridge 47: Clay Mastin poured in 27 points and Ross Warren added 12 points with 11 rebounds and three blocks for Tecumseh. Jamaal Cosby paced Kenton Ridge with 19 points.

Northwestern 74, Graham 56: Kurt Waters put up 25 points and Ryan Cleland added 13 for Northwestern. Andrew Ford paced Graham with 19 points.

Ben Logan 41, Greenon 39, OT: Greenon ran out of gas after rallying to send the game into overtime.

Ponitz 51, Thurgood Marshall 50: De’Edgar Cooks scored 17 points and Floyd Scott added 11 points with 10 rebounds for Ponitz. Kadeim Jones poured in 30 points for Thurgood.

Valley View 49, Bellbrook 34: Tyler Whiteman and Levi McMonigle each put up 12 points to lead Valley View. Ethan Savey and Donnie Crouch tallied 11 points apiece for Bellbrook.

Dixie 58, Northridge 44: Dakota Grise scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half and Devin Worley had 17 points for Dixie. Twon Hines paced Northridge with 18 points.

Monroe 53, Eaton 47: Tristan Backas scored 19 points and Lawrence Puleo added 18 as Monroe pulled ahead in the final quarter to secure its first SWBL win of the season. Daniel Howard and Lew Bowser each had 13 points for Eaton.

Tri-Village 73, Tri-County North 26: Gavin Richards had 24 points and Trace Couch added 15 points with 19 rebounds for Tri-Village.

Twin Valley South 55, Newton 50: Willie Bowman had 13 points and Mike Meyers and Travis Lovely added 10 apiece for Twin Valley South. Ryan Mollette carried Newton with 14 points.

Ansonia 65, National Trail 43: Hunter Muir recorded 22 points and Devyn Sink added 20 to lead Ansonia. Weston Haws lad 12 points for National Trail.

Mississinawa Valley 54, Arcanum 51: Trent Perkins scored 13 points and D.J. Howell 11 to lead Mississinawa in the rally victory.

Madison Plains 52, Triad 49: Thomas O’Neal tallied 12 points for Triad and Hadley LeVan and Jevin Edley each added 12.

Greeneview 43, Fairbanks 39: Mason Schneider recorded 14 points and Kollyn Brooks added 11 for Greeneview.

Dayton Christian 76, Miami Valley 61: Michael Hennen scored 16 points and Brantley Mills 14 to lead five players in double-digit scoring for Dayton Christian. Miami Valley’s Lennox Roberts led all scorers with 22 points.

Middletown Christian 48, Emmanuel Christian 45: Cameron Russell scored 15 points, including the last five points to help Middletown Christian pull out the win. Adonis Davis had 14 points for Emmanuel Christian.

Fort Loramie 53, Botkins 34: Dillon Braun dropped 16 points and Tyler Siegel added 14 points and nine rebounds for Fort Loramie in the SCAL matchup.

Versailles 55, Fort Recovery 48: A.J. Ahrens scored 18 points and Keaton McEldowney added 16 as Versailles took sole possession of first place in the MAC. Caleb Martin had 13 points for Fort Recovery.

Minster 48, New Bremen 37: Aaron Ernst paced Minster with 12 points and Jared Huelsman added 11. Tate Myers led New Bremen with 12 points.

St. Henry 61, New Knoxville 51: Tyler Schlarman tallied 21 points for St. Henry, which opened the game on a 15-3 run. Nick Topp led New Knoxville with 19 points.

Temple Christian 73, Ridgemont 56: Brody Bowman carried Temple Christian with 32 points, five assists and five steals.
