HS Results 12/6: Jones leads CJ in rally win

Dallas Jones finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds in leading Chaminade Julienne to a 65-52 rally victory over Roger Bacon in Wednesday girls basketball action.

Five players scored in double digits for CJ, led by Jones. Staci Green had 11 and Annie Weckesser, Eve Monaghan and Jordan Varise chipped in 10 apiece.

Chaminade trailed by 14 points in the third quarter before beginning the rally effort.

Girls Basketball

Beavercreek 55, Springfield 33: Lexi Moore tallied 16 points and Bailey Draughn chipped in 10 to lead ‘Creek. Freshman Mickayla Perdue poured in 26 points for Springfield.

Trotwood 72, Fairborn 32: Shai McGruder led Trotwood with 20 points, passing the 1,000 point milestone for her career.

Lebanon 48, Northmont 46: Alexis Straw led Lebanon with 16 points and Kendall Folley added 11. Shalaya Heath had 11 for Northmont.

Miamisburg 54, West Carrollton 12: Emily Kepple put up 16 points and Olivia Hammerle had 10 rebounds to pace Miamisburg.

Butler 56, Piqua 33: Willow Knight had 14, Tyree Fletcher 11 and Abbie Schoenherr 10 for Butler. Kelsey Magoteaux paced Piqua with 11.

Tippecanoe 68, Sidney 25: Maddie Frederick had 18 points, Allison Mader 14 and Cali Stewart 13 to lead Tipp.

Lakota West 69, Lakota East 24: Abby Prohaska led West with 19 points and Nevaeh Dean and Madisyn Oxley tacked on 10 apiece. Jordan Stanley had 11 for East.

Hamilton 59, Oak Hills 49: Hamilton, led by CiCi Riggins with a double-double effort, had a 20-10 run in the final quarter to take control.

Purcell Marian 57, Alter 55, OT: Marie Gross tallied 14 points and Kourtney Klug had 11 with 10 rebounds in a losing effort for Alter.

Carroll 49, McNicholas 47: Julia Keller had 20 points with 12 rebounds and Allie Stefanek added 10 points to carry Carroll.

Tecumseh 94, Indian Lake 16: Corinne Thomas tallied 25 points, Presley Griffitts 21 and Macy Berner 15 to lead Tecumseh. Thomas and Griffitts each had 10 assists as well.

Kenton Ridge 74, Urbana 44: Mikala Morris recorded 19 points and Desiree Jones 17 for KR. Samantha Rooney led all scorers with 22 for Urbana.

Boys Basketball

Madison 71, Dohn 33: Grant Whisman scored 20 points and Ryan Duritsch had 16 with nine rebounds, including an 8-for-8 night at the foul line, to lead Madison.

Wrestling

Miamisburg 44, Franklin 30: Collin Lovett, Nathan Shatto, Cole McGuire, Kyle Barga, Grant Middleton, Cam Carnevale, Sebastian Beachler and Jon Hardin all recorded wins for ‘Burg.
