HS Results 1/16: Miamisburg boys knock off Bellbrook

The Miamisburg boys basketball team improved to 9-3 as they won over Bellbrook, 54-52.

The win is Miamisburg’s fifth in a row.

Jason Hubbard shot for 21 points, while Duncan Hall added on 15.

Donnie Crouch put up 12 points in the loss.

Storm Painter and Jack Campbell each added on 10 for Bellbrook.

Boys Basketball

Butler 55, Tecumseh 32: Kort Justice tallied 22 points and five rebounds to lead all scorers in the win.

Lebanon 65, Milford 57: Harrison Hookfin led with near double double, putting up 21 points and nine assists in the win. Brendan Lamb added on 14 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Stebbins 88, Greenville 45: Jonathan Mpanzu added 15 points to his season total, pushing Stebbins above .500. Greenville’s Noah Walker had 11.

Tippecanoe 80, Eaton 36: Caiden Smith tallied 20 points in the Tipp victory and Josh Wildermuth 18. Isaac Manning netted 10 for Eaton.

Hamilton 78, Talawanda 53: Jaylen Robinson led all scorers with 36 points and four steals in the Hamilton win. Josh Dewitt shot for 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists in the loss.

Mount Healthy 45, Edgewood 43: Trent Allen put up 16 points in the Edgewood loss and Ethan McCarty 12.

Carlisle 71, Legacy Christian 60: Justin Flor shot for 28 points in the Carlisle win, 21 of which came in the first half. Ashton Burke countered with 23 points for LC.

Triad 69, Southeastern 50: Brinley Harlan scored 21 points in the Triad win. Owen Flannery also netted 21 points for Southeastern.

West Liberty-Salem 62, Ben Logan 49: James Loffing tallied 15 points in the win. Nolan Robson countered with 15 points of his own in the loss.

Belmont 68, Franklyn 51: Jeff Hunt put up 20 points in the win as Kendall Moore tacked on 17.

Stivers 80, Kenton Ridge 77: Trevon Ellis tallied 21 points, 12 assists and seven steals in the win for the double (and near triple) double. Doug Spear hit a 3-pointer as time expired to seal the win.

Dayton Christian 48, Emmanuel Christian 29: Matt Welker continued his streak of leading Dayton Christian, scoring 17 points in the win. Adonis continued his for Emmanuel Christian with nine.

Norwood 67, New Miami 58: Deanza Duncan tallied 16 points in the loss.

Girls Basketball

Franklin 54, Dixie 21: Layne Ferrell added 19 points to her season total in the win. McKinlee Ruppert scored 12 in the loss.

Madison 61, Ansonia 45: Lillie Runnells put up 20 points in the Madison win. Trinity Henderson led overall with 24 points for Ansonia.

Milton Union 64, Northridge 19: Kristen Dickison shot for 27 points in the win. Loraine Reeder tallied 14 of Northridge’s 19 points.

Waynesville 70, Carlisle 38: Rachel Murray led all scorers with 28 points in the win, breaking the career scoring record for Waynesville. Christa Harris put up 11 for Carlisle.

Tri-Village 56, Cedarville 50: Maddie Downing amassed 17 points in the win. Ise Bolender shot for 11 in the loss.

Franklin Monroe 51, Brookville 33: Audrey Cable netted 17 points in the FM win. Kaylee Wheat had 10 for Brookville.

Anna 48, Marion Local 40: Morgan Huelskamp scored 12 points in the win. Kara Evers shot for 12 points of her own in the loss.

Russia 38, Covington 36: Jenna Cordonnier put up 16 points in the win. Samantha Whiteman led all scorers with 23 in the loss.

New Bremen 49, St Marys 33: Jane Homan earned 16 points in the NB win. Syd Cisco continued leading St. Marys, adding 10 points to her season total.

Boys Bowling

West Liberty-Salem 2291, Fairbanks 2190: Isaac Riblet paced WLS with a 194. Trevin Rausch led Fairbaknks with a 203.

Girls Bowling

Fairbanks 1936, West Liberty-Salem 1897: Hailee Clifford paved the way with games of 157 and 173 for a 330 series for WLS. Katie Rollins was right behind with games of 152 and 177 for a 329 series.
