HS Results 9/13: Thomas leads Fairborn over Greenville


Lauren Thomas tallied 3 goals in helping propel Fairborn to a 8-0 win over Greenville in girls soccer action Wednesday.

Thomas also had 2 assists on the night. Abby Knaub and Mikayla Boughman each chipped in a goal and an assist and keeper Abbi Newell recorded the shutout.

Girls Soccer

Lebanon 1, Centerville 1: Julie Trouten put Centerville on the board but Maeve Maloney netted the equalizer for Lebanon with 2:33 to play.

Boys Golf

Springfield Invitational: Lebanon edged St. Xavier by two strokes to earn the win. Lebanon finished with a 323. Vandalia was third at 326, Beavercreek fourth at 335 and Fairmont fifth with 342.

Milton Union 188, Bellbrook 199: Justin Brown led the field with a 41 and Hayden Davidson added a 43 for MU. Hunter Turner paced Bellbrook with a 46.

Cedarville 163, Southeastern 163, Greenon 175: Avery Green of Southeastern led the field with a 33. Noah Myers and Adam Wood each had a 38 for Cedarville, which won on a 5th man tiebreaker.

Greeneview 193, Triad 195, Catholic Central 205: Mason Witt led Greeneview with a 36 and Creighton Bradley and Cole Pond each had a 47 for Triad.

Miami East 176, Covington 177: Zac Johnson and Sam Zabadka each shot a 43 for ‘East. Andrew Slusher was the medalist for Covington with a 34.

Girls Golf

Northmont 202, Greenville 221: Amara Tipple paced Northmont with a 46 and Hannah Toth added a 52. Jada Garland shot a 50 for Greenville.

Miamisburg 195, Vandalia 226: Sarah Schultz of Miamisburg shot a 43 for medalist honors.

Tippecanoe 187, Miami East 210: Emily Rowley recorded a 49 in a losing effort for ‘East.

Spg. Shawnee 203, Tecumseh 232: Elly Deerwester and Reagan Speas each had a 46 for Shawnee. Julia Radenburg led Tecumseh with a 55.

Triad 203, Greenon 211, Madison Plains 221, Southeastern 224: Kayleigh Boldman tallied a 45 to lead Triad. Sydney Wells shot a 50 for Greenon and Rylee Harrington had a 47 for Southeastern.

Girls Tennis

Preble Shawnee 3, Franklin 0: Ashlyn Hubbard and Audri Lawson recorded singles wins for Preble in a rain-shortened match.

Girls Volleyball

Greeneview 3, Xenia 0: Amanda Mickle tallied 4 aces with 4 digs and Maddie Hines tacked on 10 kills to lead Greeeneview.
