Transfer season has affected eight Atlantic 10 teams

Seventeen players, so far, leaving conference

Spring is transfer season in college basketball. VerbalCommits.com keeps a list of transferring players, and as of Monday, it had more than 400 names on it.

Eight of the 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 conference have lost players. Six have lost multiple players.

The Dayton Flyers appear to be on their way to a third straight season without losing a transfer player. Coach Anthony Grant said no players have informed him of their intention to leave, and players expressed confidence all the current players on the roster will return, though there’s still time for players to change their minds.

Here’s a glance at players leaving teams in the A-10:

Duquesne

Rene Castro, 6-2, G: Grad transfer who averaged 7.1 points.

Isiaha Mike, 6-8, F: Averaged 11.3 points last season as a freshman.

Nakye Sanders, 6-8, F: Averaged 5.1 points last season as a sophomore.

Fordham

Christian Sengfelder, 6-7, F: Grad transfer who averaged 12.1 points.

Antwoine Anderson, 6-1, G: Grad transfer who averaged 11.1 points.

George Mason

DeAndre Abram, 6-7, G: Averaged 3.4 points as a sophomore.

Danny Dixon, 6-10, F: Averaged 1.5 points as a sophomore.

Kameron Murrell, 6-2, G: Averaged 1.5 points as a sophomore.

George Washington

Collin Goss, 6-11, F: Averaged 1.5 points as a sophomore.

Kevin Marfo, 6-9, F: Averaged 2.7 points as a freshman.

Jordan Roland, 6-1, G: Averaged 6.7 points as a sophomore.

Massachusetts

Zach Coleman, 6-7, F: Grad transfer who saw limited action as a junior.

Zach Lewis, 6-3, G: Grad transfer who averaged 8.8 points.

Richmond

Jesse Pistokache, 6-3, G: Appeared in four games as a sophomore.

Saint Louis

Zeke Moore, 6-6, G: Averaged 5.3 points as a freshman.

Matt Neufeld, 6-11, F: Averaged 0.9 points as a sophomore.

Virginia Commonwealth

Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed, 6-9, F: Grad transfer who averaged 5.9 points.
