DARNELL HOSKINS JR.: Signs with Saginaw Valley State (Mich.)
Playing for his father, coach Travis Trice, Isaiah averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals a game as a senior at Wayne (15-9). The 6-foot-2 guard/forward was second team All-GWOC.
“Ultimately, my goal is to play Division I basketball,” Trice said in a statement through Sinclair. “Already being a NCAA qualifier takes that pressure off of me. I just need to focus on getting better and I believe with my improving work ethic and Coach (Jeff) Price’s guidance I will get there.”
TROTWOOD SIGNEES: Torrey Patton (Akron), Amir Foster (Tennessee State)
Another Trice sibling, Olivia Trice, is a two-year starter on the Wayne girls basketball team. The 5-8 sophomore guard has been a key player for the Warriors, who posted records of 20-5, and 25-2 the last two seasons.
Sinclair annually has been ranked among the nation’s top junior college programs in the nation. The Tartans were 22-10 last season.
