The Elks are back in a familiar position - undefeated and on top of the Greater Western Ohio Conference after beating Wayne 39-22 on Friday.
The Warriors pulled within 24-22 with 5:40 left in the third quarter, but the Elks returned a field goal for a touchdown and had a 40-yard touchdown reception to put the game away.

Northmont 51, Lebanon 7: Miles Johnson threw for 339 yards with three scores, Devin Kenerly added 110 yards with two touchdowns on the ground and Donavin Wallace hauled in eight catches for 125 yards with a TD to lead Northmont. Brendan Lamb had the lone score for Lebanon.
Sidney 34, Piqua 33: Ben Schmiesing ran in his second touchdown with 45 seconds to play, putting Piqua in position for the big upset, but Sidney’s defense held strong on the two-point conversion. Isaiah Bowser racked up 186 yards on the ground with three touchdowns to carry Sidney, which improved to 6-0.
Trotwood 62, West Carrollton 12: Raveion Hargrove had four carries for 174 yards and three scores and Markell Stephens-Peppers threw for 150 yards and four touchdowns in the rout for unbeaten Trotwood.
Springboro 27, Beavercreek 24: Connor Luksic nailed the game-winning field goal with three seconds to play as ‘Boro handed Beavercreek its first loss. Luksic also had the game-tying field goal with 3:51 remaining.
Troy 28, Tippecanoe 13: After Tippecanoe staked a 13-0 halftime lead, Troy rattled off 28 straight points to rally for the victory. Sam Jackson ran in three touchdowns to lead Troy. Brad Detwiller tossed a 49-yard TD to Clay Barhorst for Tipp’s only touchdown.
Vandalia 38, Greenville 14: Logan Flatt had three TD runs and Mason Motter connected on a 26-yard TD pass to Bryant Johnson for Vandalia.
Fairmont 28, Miamisburg 26: Braden Miller and Kennon Burroughs had a couple big plays to help Fairmont spoil ‘Burg’s rally effort. Tony Clark had three TD runs in a losing effort for Miamisburg.
Alter 42, Roger Bacon 0: Alter scored early and often, taking a 35-0 lead into the half and improving to 3-0 in conference play and 5-1 overall.
Carlisle 34, Preble Shawnee 7: Spencer Mays had 126 yards on the ground with a TD and Ryan Neal added 108 yards rushing with two scores to carry Carlisle.
Harrison 42, Talawanda 12: Adam Crank connected with Tyler Engelhard and Lucas Snell on scoring passes in a losing effort for Talawanda.
Meadowdale 20, Woodward 18: Elijah Carson threw three touchdowns, two to Jonte Tinsley, and Meadowdale stopped a two-point conversion late to hold on for the win.
Thurgood Marshall 35, Ponitz 8: Ayyoub Muhammed threw for four touchdowns to carry Thurgood. Craig Poythress paced Ponitz with 124 yards and a TD on the ground.
Dayton Christian 49, Cin. College Prep 0: Shawn VanNoy threw for 198 yards with five touchdowns and Tywon Berry hauled in six catches for 137 yards and three scores to lead DC.
Ben Logan 28, Northwestern 24: Ben Logan rallied from a 24-6 deficit to pull off the win. Nolan Robson caught the go-ahead score from Tanner Perkins in the fourth quarter. Gage Voorhees nailed a 47-yard field goal for Northwestern.
Greeneview 63, Greenon 20: Nick Clevenger threw two touchdowns, Griffin Mangan ran in a pair of scores and Collin Wilson added an 87-yard kickoff return for a TD to lead Greeneview. Derek Brown tallied two touchdowns for Greenon on kick returns.
Mechanicsburg 14, West Liberty-Salem 7: Logan Hurst found Mack Delong on a six-yard go-ahead touchdown strike with 5:01 to play to give ‘Burg the edge. Hurst also had a rushing score. Major Stratton ran in a TD for WLS.
Coldwater 35, Parkway 6: Sam Broering tossed a pair of touchdowns to Jacob Wenning and Ben Wenning added two TD runs for Coldwater.
Marion Local 32, Anna 7: Jack Buening paced Marion Local with three TD runs.
