The Wright State baseball team did it again Sunday, upsetting No. 10 Clemson in the rubber match of the season-opening series.

The Raiders (2-1) jumped on the Tigers for three runs in the second inning and never looked back on their way to a 10-2 triumph.

Freshman Seth Gray, a Shawnee graduate, launched his first collegiate home run to plate two of the runs in the three-run second. Gray also doubled and finished 2 for 4 with four RBIs and three runs scored.

Sophomore JD Orr went 2 for 5 with an RBI, while junior Matt Morrow and sophomores Zach Weatherford and Adrian Marques also drove in runs.

Danny Sexton gave up one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in 6.2 innings to earn the win.

Wright State beat Clemson 6-4 in Friday’s season opener, while the Tigers won 6-2 Saturday.

The Raiders return to action Friday at South Carolina.
