Wright State’s Love earns another Horizon League award


Wright State’s Loudon Love has been voted the Horizon League Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this year and second in the last three weeks.

The 6-foot-9, 275-pound Love scored in double figures in all three WSU games last week as the Raiders went 2-1 to stay atop the HL standings.

He had 16 points and seven rebounds in a 77-67 victory against Youngstown State before recording his eighth double-double of the year with 12 points and 14 rebounds in an 80-67 win at Green Bay.

Love wrapped his week with 16 points and seven boards in a 66-61 loss at Milwaukee that snapped WSU’s eight-game winning streak.

Love also was named HL Freshman of the Week on Jan. 8, Dec. 26 and Dec. 18.
