Kasich booked on Colbert

Ohio Gov. John Kasich is scheduled as a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday, Nov. 6.

Colbert replaced David Letterman as host of The Late Show, which airs weeknights at 11:30 p.m. on WHIO-TV (Channel 7) in Dayton. Kasich will join a string of other presidential hopefuls who have been guests on the show, including Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republicans Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Kasich appeared on The Colbert Report on Comedy Central in 2006, when Colbert played a smug conservative talk show. At the time, Kasich hosted The Heartland with John Kasich on FoxNews. During that appearance, Colbert asked Kasich why he didn't win the presidency and Kasich responded: "There are only three reasons why I didn't win. Money, money and money. Outside of that, I was really on fire."
