One day after Portman scores Teamsters endorsement, Strickland touts Firefighters support

The endorsement comes on the heels of Sen. Rob Portman’s endorsement from the Teamsters yesterday. Portman, a Republican who faces Democrat Strickland in his re-election bid, has also received the endorsement of the United Mineworkers.

But Strickland’s campaign points out that Strickland has received the support of some 40 unions, including the AFL-CIO, the SEIU, the United Steel Workers and the Ohio Education Association.

The OAPFF represents over 11,000 professional fire fighters and emergency medical professional from more than 250 fire departments in the Buckeye State.
