Wanted: 100 naked women for GOP convention

Want to get naked and make art at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland?

Artist and photographer Spencer Tunick put the word out there for 100 women who want to, well, put it all out there.

Tunick is a New York-based artist who is world renown for staging photo and video shoots with hundreds and even tens of thousands of naked people in public settings in Europe, Australia and the Americas. You can check out some of his work here: Spencer Tunick Art

According to his website, the project at the GOP convention "will involve 100 nude women holding large mirror discs, reflecting the knowledge and wisdom of progressive women and the concept of 'Mother Nature' into and onto the convention center, cityscape and horizon of Cleveland. The philosophy of the artwork relates to the idea of the sacred feminine. By holding mirrors, we hope to suggest that women are a reflection and embodiment of nature, the sun, the sky and the land."

It won't be Tunick's first time working in Cleveland. In June 2004, nearly 3,000 participants posed nude for Tunick near the Lake Erie lakefront.

Sign up for the GOP convention project can be done here: Tunick Cleveland

Participants must submit a full-length photo of themselves and will be notified by email before July 10 with the exact date and time and instructions, according to Tunick's website. "Republicans, Democrats and all other political parties are welcome to take part."
