Dayton Air Show: Check out newly announced performers for 2019

Vectren Dayton Air Show officials just announced the addition of new performances for this year’s two-day event.

Team Oracle with Sean D. Tucker and Johnny De Gennaro will debut at the Vectren Dayton Air Show, and the U.S. Army Golden Knights will also perform.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are scheduled to perform at the Dayton Air Show in 2020.

Headlined by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Dayton Air Show will take off on June 22 and 23. This is the 45th anniversary of the air show. General admission tickets are available starting May 13.

“What a great show lineup we have for 2019,” said Scott Buchanan, chairman of the USATS Board of Trustees. “The new Team Oracle, our Army’s amazing Golden Knights and the awesome Thunderbirds, alnog with other top attractions previously announced, will make 2019 a show you’ve got to see.”

• The new Team Oracle, led by air show legend Sean D. Tucker flying the Oracle Challenger III and John De Gennaro, will fly the Oracle Extra 300L. Also, witness Sean flying his amazing Challenger III aircraft for the last time. This infamous Challenger will be heading to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum “Thomas W. Haas We All Fly” gallery in 2021.

• The Army Golden Knights will thrill spectators with their intricate canopy work along with skydiving formations and landings that require extreme precision. Based in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, the 12-member team will travel to Dayton in their Fokker C-31A Troopship which will also serve as their jump aircraft. The team last appeared in Dayton in 2018.

• Show officials also recently learned the U.S. Navy Blue Angels have selected Dayton for a 2020 performance on June 27th and 28th.

• Team Oracle and the Army Golden Knights will join previously announced attractions, the world-renownedU.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, British Sea Harrier, GEICO Skytypers, Jacquie B Airshows, Shockwave Jet Truck and Skip Stewart Aerobatics. Air show officials plan to announce other aircraft that will fly and appear on static display during the 2019 feature show in the months ahead.
