Hotel, mixed-use development planned at Cornerstone of Centerville

A hotel and mixed-use development are one step closer to coming to the Cornerstone of Centerville.

Oberer Realty Services announced it will break ground in spring on the Village at Cornerstone, a mixed-use development accommodating retail, restaurant, professional and medical officers.

Approximately 1,400 to 10,000 square-foot spaces are available in the village. Oberer officials also said they’ve closed on the land sale to a hotel developer for a new Hilton concept, Home2.

The Home2 Suites by Hilton is planned for 5321 Cornerstone Bouldevard near the Costco Wholesale Store. Some residents raised concern over the plan because it would “change the dynamics of the neighborhood.”

One resident said she worried about noise and traffic at night coming from the hotel.
