Shook Construction honored for Levitt Pavilion work

Moraine-based Shook Construction has won a “Build Ohio” award in the category of “new construction under $20 million” for the Levitt Pavilion Dayton project.

A panel of retired construction professionals selected the winning projects, according to a release from Levitt Pavilion Dayton.

The Levitt Pavilion Dayton was a $5.4 million project and was completed in seven months.

“Shook Construction and the (Dayton-Montgomery County) Port Authority were committed to delivering a project to us on time and within budget,” Lisa Wagner, executive director of Friends of Levitt Pavilion Dayton, said in the statement. “We are so proud of what they built for us and we are thrilled to see the recognition of that on the scale of the Build Ohio award.”

Friends of Levitt Pavilion Dayton is the non-profit that manages, programs and fundraises for the pavilion.
