“I just felt like it was a necessary step,” Jones said of the studio.

While she acknowledged she’s taking a risk, Jones said the studio will allow her more options for photo shoots and allow her offer indoor sessions. Some of her customers also want indoor group photos before weddings, she said.

Jones got her start in photography after attending a summer camp in Florida, she said. She started out taking photos for family members and friends, but the business grew through word of mouth and eventually, social media.

Along with events like weddings, she said she’s photographed everything from birthday parties to high school dances.

The downtown location will be a good fit because it was affordable, she said, and will be a convenient location for clients throughout Clark County.

“It just seemed like the right location and the right price to me,” Jones said.
