Coal company, in 11 states, boosts Ohio GOP

Coal miners and other employees linked to the Ohio-based Murray Energy Corp. have contributed tens of thousands of dollars toward the re-election campaigns for Ohio Republicans, from the governor down to two members of the Ohio Supreme Court. In all, employees in 11 states have provided more than $147,000 to the campaigns of seven office-seekers.
