The beer-tasting event will be hosted by Planned2Give and Dayton Most Metro, and will raise funds for Dayton-based Brothers Helping Brothers, which helps purchase tools and life-saving equipment for small or rural fire departments in need.

The beer tasting will feature Christmas Ales and winter beers, ranging “from Belgians and Barleywines to Stouts and Sours,” organizers said.

Tickets are available online at planned2give.networkforgood.com. General admission tickets are $25, and VIP tasting tickets, which include admission into a VIP lounge and additional specialty beer tastings with catering from Milano's, are available for $40.

Founded in 2014, Brothers Helping Brothers has distributed 14 grants to fire and EMS departments around the region and is working on several more.

Event organizers also will collect mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for those in need. Those who bring an item will receive one free ticket for a raffle in which a New Belgium Bicycle, a Craft Beer Advent Box, restaurant gift certifcates and other items will be given away.
