Star City Brewing Company decided to spread out its five-year anniversary party over four days, which will encompass special tappings, free music and, yes, pie, from Wednesday, Nov. 14 through Saturday, Nov. 17 at the brewery at 319 S. 2nd St. in Miamisburg.

“The idea started with tapping our barrel-aged beers and bringing back the meads for the anniversary weekend,” Justin Kohnen, co-founder of Star City, said in a release. “But thinking about all of the great things that have helped to make Star City what it is over these five years later, we quickly started filling up the week by roping in friends.”

The schedule includes:
- Wednesday, Nov. 14: "Beer & Pie: A Miamisburg Holiday Pairing," a ticketed event in conjunction with The Canal House Eatery ($17);
- Thursday, Nov. 15: Musician Invitational Thursday Open Mic Night, free;
- Friday, Nov. 16: Mead release with The Repeating Arms, starting at 5 p.m., music at 9 p.m., free;
- Saturday, Nov. 17: Woodford Reserve Barrel-Aged Tapping starting at 5 p.m. with music by The New Old-Fashioned at 9 p.m., free.

“We’ve made a lot of friends in five years here,” Kohnen said. “We hope to make some more over the weekend.”
