Beavercreek Police investigating new act of vandalism at Nutter Park

The Beavercreek Police Department is investigating a new act of vandalism at Nutter Park following one at a separate park Saturday.

“This particular incident happened at the baseball complex within Nutter Park, located at 865 Factory Road,” In a Facebook post Monday, police said. “Someone attempted to gain entry into the storage shed using a bladed object. It seems the perpetrator(s) were unsuccessful in gaining access to the shed, and no items appear to be missing.”

This incident happened in close proximity, approximately 1 mile away, from Rotary Park, where another instance of vandalism took place over weekend.

In a post on Saturday, police said the park staff found extensive damage, which consisted of the destruction of mirrors, sinks and toilets in the bathrooms and a window at the concession stand where repairing and replacing the items will incur costs of over thousands of dollars.

“Our officers are investigating whether there is a connection between these two incidents,” police said.
