This latest announcement calls for the development of “new alternative energy and energy efficiency technologies to provide increased capabilities and benefits to AF installations, equipment, and aircraft.”
“What we are looking for is advanced power and alternative energy demonstrations to enable future missions,” said Capt. Randall Hodkin, APTO program manager. “These products should maintain a focus on energy resiliency, efficiency, cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability with a demonstration and evaluation at around a technology readiness level six.”
The broad agency announcement, titled "Advanced Power Technology Office – Energy Innovation," (FA8650-16-S-5001), is open until Aug. 21 and can be found at the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov.
