Barn used for tractor storage in Darke County engulfed in ‘aggressive’ fire


A large barn in the 11300 block of State Route 49 reportedly full of tractors caught fire Saturday morning.

Scanner reports indicated Ansonia fire crews were dispatched to 11344 OH-49 at approximately 10:25 a.m. for a large structure fire.

Darke County Regional Dispatch confirmed the structure used to be a chicken barn but has now been converted into a storage barn for tractors. 

Ansonia fire crews are working to knock down the “aggressive” and “fully engulfed” fire, per scanner reports.
