Butler County road projects starting Monday may impact your commute

Butler County road projects starting Monday may impact your commute — some for the next few weeks.

Here’s what you need to know:

FAIRFIELD

Seward Road will be closed to through traffic between Union Centre Boulevard/Symmes Road and Tylersville Road starting Monday, Aug. 7.

The closure is for work being performed next to the bike trail and just south of the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.

The entrance to the bike trail parking area will be accessible coming southbound from Tylersville Road.

Weather permitting, the closure is scheduled to last approximately three weeks.

A detour will be posted.

LIBERTY TWP./MONROE

Hankins Road will close for roadway improvements between LeSourdsville West Chester Road and Yankee Road beginning Monday, Aug. 7, according to the Butler County Engineer’s Office.

The project that spans 2.75 miles involves culvert replacements and pavement repairs and resurfacing, according to Butler County Engineer Greg Wilkens.

All work is scheduled for completion by mid-September, weather permitting.

During this closure, local access will be maintained for residents of Hankins Road within the construction zone as well as for side streets, including Crossings Boulevard and Roden Park Drive.

Residents of these subdivisions, however, are advised to utilize alternate access into and out their subdivisions in order to minimize as much as possible the amount of traffic within the Hankins Road construction zone.

Detours will be posted.

HAMILTON

The intersection of Eaton Avenue and N.W. Washington Boulevard will be subject to lane restrictions on Monday, August 7, starting at 8 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The work, weather permitting, will be for final asphalt restoration, according to the city.

“No Parking” signs and detours will be posted.
