A Clark County village has closed an elementary school today due to a water issue.

Donnelsville Elementary School, part of the Tecumseh Local School District, is closed Friday due to a water issue.

Also happening in the village this week, Donnelsville officials will soon make a decision about which public water system it will use after contaminants were found in the village's aquifer.

The problem has been plaguing the village since 2010 when the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency tested multiple wells and found a chemical called PCE in 20 of them at concentrations exceeding the maximum contaminant level of 5 micrograms per liter.
