Driver crashes stolen pickup truck through Huber Heights fence

A driver who crashed through a gate to the driveway of a Howland Place home Monday night was involved in crimes across two counties, police said.

Huber Heights police and Greene County Sheriff’s deputies were at the home in the 7200 block of Howland Place, where a stolen black pickup truck was towed from the property.

It’s not clear whether the driver is in custody.

However, a Greene County deputy said the driver is the suspect in two armed carjackings. He first stole a car in Dayton, then ditched it on Ohio 4 and later stole a black pickup truck at gunpoint, the deputy said.
