Gary Lee Davis, 50, was indicted Friday by a Montgomery County grand jury in connection to the Aug. 9 incident. He is charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a felony; and misdemeanor charges of assaulting a police dog and resisting arrest.

The pursuit, which involved officers from Moraine and Dayton, started in Moraine when an officer tried to pull him over for a license plate violation, police said.

Davis allegedly fled the vehicle in the area of Randolph and McCall streets in Dayton, where a Kettering police K-9 responded to help take him into custody, police said.
