A Lebanon patrolman is scheduled to stand trial next month over a citation for failing to proceed with caution into an intersection where his police cruiser collided with a motor home on the Ohio 48 Bypass in Lebanon last month.
Officer Dan Fry, 37, will face a trial brought by a special prosecutor and decided by a special judge in Lebanon Municipal Court.
Judge William Wolff, retired from Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, has been appointed to replace the local judge, Mark Bogan. Mark Webb, a Springboro-based lawyer who specializes in criminal defense and family law, was appointed as the prosecutor.
Charles M. Rittgers, a veteran lawyer, is representing Fry.
The trial is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23.
