Masked gunman robs Cricket Wireless in Dayton


A police K-9 was tracking the area Saturday night trying to find the robber who held up a Cricket Wireless store.

The masked robber showed a gun at 7:15 p.m. when he ran into the cellphone store, 2164 N. Gettysburg Ave. 

Dayton police are reviewing surveillance footage of the robbery.

The robber, described as a male standing 5 feet 8 inches who weighs 160 pounds, was wearing dark sweatpants and a dark shirt, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

He fled on foot after getting away with some cash, police said. There were no injuries.
