The three men and the boy were shot at 193 Olive Road around 1:30 a.m. Friday. Trotwood police Chief Erik Wilson said the boy’s wounds were superficial and that he was treated at Dayton Children’s Hospital.
“Nonetheless, a 5-year-old being hit is bad,” Wilson said. “But it’s not to extent of the other guys.”

Wilson said detectives hadn’t been able to talk to the victims at Miami Valley Hospital, but had gotten cooperation from witnesses.
“Someone came to the house, knocked on the door, possibly someone they knew and once they came inside an altercation ensued and the individuals were shot multiple times,” Wilson said, adding that all four victims were in the same room in the back of the residence and that there may be more than one suspect. “I believe this was interpersonal relationships.”
Wilson said incident reports would not be available until next week. He didn’t give the names of the victims, who he said were hit in various parts of their bodies.

“I’m really nervous and nervous for (one of the victims) and nervous for the kids that were in the house,” said a woman connected with some of the home’s occupants who didn’t want to give her name. “I don’t know how he’s doing. I don’t know who did this,” the woman told News Center 7.
The chief said his department has taken four reports from that address in the past three years, but that there’s been numerous calls for service. Those calls have included assault, animal complaints, a wanted person, fighting, noise, a suspicious person, drugs and domestic violence.
Wilson said he’s heard of shots being fired in that neighborhood, but not at that exact location.
A woman told a 911 dispatcher that she needed an ambulance.

“Please hurry!” the woman shouted. “I don’t know what happened. I just woke up and my boyfriend came out and there’s blood everywhere.”
Wilson said there was no connection between the Olive Road shooting and a woman who was shot Thursday.
Trotwood police Sgt. Brent Rasor had said police and medics were dispatched on a report of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. to the area of Annapolis and Jason avenues.
“We do have an adult female that’s been struck (by a bullet) one time by an unknown male and the case is ongoing,” Rasor said. “She was conscious and breathing at the time we spoke to her.”
The chief said the woman’s car was hit at least twice, but he didn’t have any update on her condition or if a suspect had been identified.
