Two men were ordered out of a car at gunpoint this evening following a short pursuit.

Beerman Avenue at Gettysburg Avenue was blocked with yellow crime scene tape as police investigated a shots-fired incident.

Dayton police Sgt. Robert Klinger said police pursued the car because they believed the occupants either were shooting at other vehicles, or were being shot at.

The two men who were taken out of the car at gunpoint were being questioned by detectives, Klinger said.

There were shots fired out of a vehicle on James H. McGee Boulevard earlier this evening, but police said it’s under investigation whether they are connected.
