INITIAL REPORT:
A 25-year-old Trotwood man is accused of raping a woman at gunpoint last month in Dayton.
Darius E. Walker was indicted Wednesday on charges of rape, kidnapping and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.
A 23-year-old woman reported to Dayton police early Sept. 30 that Walker picked her up in the 400 block of Cherry Drive in Dayton and offered to give her a ride to her home in Trotwood.
On the way, he pulled over behind a vacant apartment and allegedly demanded oral sex, which the woman refused, according to an affidavit filed Oct. 2 in Dayton Municipal Court.
According to the affidavit, Walker then pulled out a pistol. Following the reported sexual assault, the woman said Walker dropped her off a few blocks away.
Dayton police attempted to stop Walker’s car and chased it until officers called off the pursuit.
The woman identified Walker as her assailant through a photo spread, court documents stated, and Walker was arrested later that morning at his Trotwood home.
He is held on $250,000 bond in the Montgomery County Jail, where he’s been since his Sept. 30 arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
