Construction of the long-awaited Levitt Pavilion is about to begin. A construction fence has been placed around the site on Dave Hall Plaza in downtown Dayton.
The Fiends of Levitt Pavilion announced in late December that a contractor has been selected to build the outdoor amphitheater.
Shook Construction, based in Dayton, will build the music venue, with construction expected to begin early this year.
Supporters say the pavilion should open in mid-summer of this year, allowing for a partial season of music programming, likely featuring about 30 shows.
