It was quickly determined the truck was unoccupied and the owner was standing on the shoreline.
The Butler County Sheriff’s Officer Emergency Services Unit pulled the pickup from the water by putting a cord through the cab of the truck, attaching it to a wrecker and pulling it up on the bank.
The recovery operation took about two hours, according to Lt. Randy Lambert of the sheriff’s office.
The crash report was unavailable today from Hamilton police.
