Free job fair this weekend will include several businesses hiring new employees

The West Carrollton Works Jobs Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the West Carrollton YMCA gymnasium, 900 S. Alex Road.

This is the fourth year for the event that will feature nine West Carrollton-based employers, which are currently hiring in a variety of fields, according to the city, which is hosting the event.

The job fair is free and open to the public. Interested applicants are encouraged to bring resumes or other background materials to fill out job applications.

Participating employers include: American Cutting Edge, city of West Carrollton, Community Concepts Inc., Ginko Systems, NuVasive, Pratt Industries, UPS, West Carrollton school district and the West Carrollton YMCA.

The types of available positions range from call center and sales representatives, machinists and CNC programmers, quality and manufacturing engineers, welders, package handlers, utility operators, event planners, school support staff, bus drivers and child care, among others.

Representatives from the Montgomery County Development Services Association will also be on hand, according to the city.
