How big was the Pike County murders investigation?

More than four dozen law enforcement agencies helped investigators nab the family suspected of murdering eight of their friends in Pike County.

Arrested Tuesday were George “Billy” Wagner III, 47; his wife, Angela Wagner, 48; and their sons, George Wagner IV and Edward “Jake” Wagner, 27 and 26.

Rita Newcomb, 65, of South Webster and Fredericka Wagner, 76, grandmothers in the Wagner family, are charged with trying to “cover up” the crime, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said.
