2 indicted in connection to ’16 burglaries at gun shops

Two men have been indicted in connection to gun shop break-ins last year.

Michael D. Hanson, 20, of Trotwood, and Brandon D'Michael Warden, 20, of Dayton, were both indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury for burglary at a Beavercreek gun shop, and an attempted break-in into a location in Vandalia.

Hanson, who is being held in Shelby County Jail on federal drug charges for a carfentanil bust, has been indicted for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity; grand theft (firearm); breaking and entering; attempted burglary; two counts attempt to commit grand theft (firearm); attempt to commit breaking and entering; and receiving stolen property (firearm).

Warden is indicted for grand theft (firearm); breaking and entering; and receiving stolen property. He's not in custody and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Both men have arraignment hearings set for Sept. 5.
