The new Eudora Brewing Company location is bigger AND better

Eudora Brewing Company has opened the doors to its new Kettering brewery at 3022 Wilmington Pike.

Eudora’s brand new 20,000-square-foot taproom, restaurant and brewery offers 18 taps that will be pouring a variety of new and classic Eudora beers, craft root beer, and nitro cold-brew coffee, Eudora owner Neil Chabut said in a release on Jan. 3. A full-service kitchen will serve upscale brewpub fare, including starter items such as a hummus plate and Eudora beer cheese, fresh salads with house-made dressings, burgers, sandwiches, and tacos, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Chabut said.

The 3022 Wilmington Road facility boasts a 10-barrel (310-gallon) brewing system, seating for up to 150 people at high and low-top tables, standing bars and couches, pool tables, an antique shuffle bowling game, pinball, private-event space, and an outdoor patio with gas fire pits, according to a release.

"It's the next step for us — we're out of space where we are now, that's for sure," Chabut told this news outlet last year when he confirmed plans for the new brewery and restaurant. "I can't make beer fast enough."

Eudora’s milestone relocation just adds to the craft-brewing renaissance that has occurred across the Miami Valley the last seven years. More than 15 new breweries have opened and are in the works. None has closed. Nearly all have expanded, most of them significantly.

Eudora closed its taproom up the street at  4716 Wilmington Pike in October while finishing work on the new facility, which previously housed a roofing supplies company, and, before that, operated for several years as a Pep Boys auto shop. Chabut opened the original taproom in 2013.

During the Jan. 11 grand opening, guests will have the chance to win merchandise giveaways throughout the evening and take a photo with a Eudora brewery mascot. Additional details about the grand opening can be found on the Eudora Brewing Company Facebook Page at facebook.com/eudorabrewingcompany.

The nitro cold-brew coffee Eudora will serve is made locally-roasted beans from Dayton’s Twisted River Coffee Roasters, Chabut said. The kitchen will be launched with the guidance of consultant Jonathan Kouse of Chef Therapy Group.

Chabut, a 2007 Fairmont High School and 2011 University of Dayton graduate, said staying in Kettering was an important consideration in searching for a new location for the brewery.

“I love Kettering. I grew up here, and I didn’t want to go anywhere else,” he said. “I want to support this community. And I’m glad we found this space.”
