Wednesday, March 14 was be the final day at the current location of Linda's Restaurant, 51 E. Main St. in downtown Xenia.

The restaurant re-opened the following Monday, March 19, at 131 Cincinnati Ave., under the new name of 5 Points Cafe. The space previously housed a handful of other restaurants, including Soular Flare Bistro and Uncle Sunny’s Homestyle Cajun Fish & Chicken.

Brian Linnean, co-owner of Linda’s Restaurant since 2016, told this news outlet that the East Main Street space needed renovations that were too costly to undertake in the aging building.

Workers have renovated the Cincinnati Street building, which was originally built as a convenience store, “to something more fitting to our home-cooked, more family-oriented dining. We have worked extremely hard over the past two months to create the new location.”

5 Points Cafe will have the same menu style, the same staff and the same hours as Linda’s Restaurant: 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday 5 a.m. to noon. But unlike Linda’s, it accepts credit cards.

Linnean said he expects to add four or five more employees to the existing staff of six over the coming months.
