JUST IN: New details on opening of Austin Landing restaurant

The construction of a new restaurant at Austin Landing is being delayed.

The building of the Buffalo Wild Wings planned between Kohl’s and Kroger near the Ohio 741 entrance of the 142-acre mixed-use development in Miami Twp. is not expected to start until next year, according to Austin Landing’s developer.

BW3s is going through some “reorganization issues,” likely pushing back its construction start on the restaurant on a 2.3-acre lot until next spring, said Larry Dillin, president of VisCap Development.

Dillin earlier said the goal was to have BW3s open by the end of 2018. The opening of the Austin Landing location was expected to occur around the same time as the closing of the restaurant chain’s Springboro site.

Earlier this year, Miami Twp. approved plans for a 6,657 square foot restaurant to include 970 square feet of outdoor patio space. It would be Austin Landing’s first dining establishment north of Kohl’s, catering primarily to those staying in the complex’s hotels or apartments, Dillin has said.
