Lebanon High School temporarily locked down after gun report

Lebanon High School was temporarily locked down today after a student sent a text message that indicated someone with a gun had been spotted outside the school, according to reports.

At 12:15 p.m. Superintendent Todd Yohey sent a text message: “Lockdown lifted. No immediate threat. Post being investigated.”

At 11:55 a.m., a Lebanon police dispatcher indicated the lockdown was initiated by a text from a student who had seen someone with a gun outside the school.

About 11:41 a.m., the district posted on Facebook: “LHS is currently on lockdown while a threat posted on social media is being investigated. This is for cautionary reasons.”

Yohey indicated he had been notified of the lockdown of the school at 1916 Drake Road in Lebanon about 11:15 a.m.
