For the second straight year, President Donald Trump’s budget would cut funds to the Dayton Aviation National Historical Park, this time by $226,000.

Congress restored the cuts last year.

The park received a little more than $2 million for this fiscal year; the administration wants that figure to be $1.8 million.

The historical park includes the Wright Cycle Company building, Hoover Block, Huffman Prairie Flying Field, 1905 Wright Flyer III, Hawthorn Hill, and the Paul Laurence Dunbar State Memorial.

Trump’s budget also would zero out funding for National Park Service’s heritage areas such as the National Aviation Heritage Area in southwest Ohio and the Ohio and Erie National Heritage Canalway in northeast Ohio.
