UPDATE @ 11:05 p.m.: Two armed men who robbed the Cricket cellphone store in Harrison Twp. on Wednesday afternoon were casing other area cell phone stores earlier in the day, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.

The Cricket phone store robbers “appear to be experienced in this type of activity,” Montgomery County Sheriff’s Capt. David Parin said. “We believe they were casing other cellphone businesses earlier today.”

Deputies are looking for three — maybe four — males in the robbery: one white male and one black male who went into the store in the 3500 block of West Siebenthaler Avenue just before 5 p.m., and a third male believed to have been driving a getaway vehicle.
Just after 6 p.m., this news organization was hearing that deputies are believed to be looking for a second vehicle and a fourth suspect.
Parin earlier Wednesday evening said investigators were processing video from a number of places — including the phone store — but they had no definitive photographs of the robbers.
The two who entered the store — one of them had a knife and the other had a gun — were wearing hats. They took all the cellphones in the store, the captain said, “more than 40,” as well as all the money from the register and from the lone store employee.
Late Wednesday night, the sheriff's office released these descriptions of the two who invaded the store:
The first was described as white. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black knit hat with a camouflaged baseball cap over the top of it. He displayed a knife and also may have had a firearm.
The second was described as black. He was wearing a long dark “puffy” coat with off-white fur around the collar and dark blue jeans. He displayed a firearm.
Parin said the robbery took roughly 6 minutes.
“It was a much more methodical and lengthy incident” than deputies are used to seeing in cellphone store robberies, he said. “They are not the typical individuals that we’ve experienced doing this before.”
Previous cellphone store robberies have involved young men in their 20s, some younger.

There were no customers, the captain said, and the employee is “shaken up over the situation, as anyone would be.”
The Cricket phone store employee told our reporter the two men came in asking about cellphones, then brandished their weapons. He said they left him tied up, with tape over his mouth, in a back room.
Parin said the employee freed himself and sought assistance at a nearby bank.
