The locks can secure a door from an unwanted intruder but can be opened by a police officer or firefighter responding to an emergency.

The group, which is a nonprofit registered as Creek Safe Inc., raised $52,000 to make the project a reality.
While students are breaking for the Thanksgiving holiday, installers from Bellbrook Fence will be installing the locks at each of the district’s six elementary buildings, officials said.
The organization held 55 events in five months to help raise the money, organizers said.
The group now wants to raise an additional $70,000 to purchase and install locks for the district’s middle schools, high school and Ferguson Hall.
