Since the 2010 census, Miami County has grown by 2.6 percent.
The county saw improvement in population loses due to domestic out-migration in the past year as well.
As recently as 2015, Miami County had more people moving out than moving in from other states or parts of Ohio. But from 2016 to 2017 the county gained 547 residents through domestic migration. The rest of the gains came from foreign immigrants and more births occurring than deaths.
