Central State University graduate and current White House advisor Omarosa Manigault could be on her way out of her role as communications director for the Office of Public Liaison if new Chief of Staff John Kelly has anything to say about it.
According to the Daily Beast , Kelly has begun limiting the former Apprentice star’s role within the White House.
The media outlet reports Manigault had allowed unvetted news articles to make their way to the president’s desk, which is thought to be an influential part of the president’s thinking and mood, and one that Manigualt used to rile up Trump about internal White House drama.
One of Kelly’s first organizational changes upon taking the chief of staff job was to limit and vet the information that aides put before the president during official work hours, according to a pair of internal memos first reported by Politico.
Since Kelly has taken over, Trump’s former reality-TV co-star’s ability to influence her boss has diminished, a White House source told the Daily Beast.
Manigault hasn’t been devoid of controvery before, including a clashing with a news anchor during a panel discussion policing in black communities held at the largest gathering of black journalists in the country in August.
Manigault graduated from Central State in 1996 and is from Youngstown.
